As I look back, I take my mind to the journey that led me to create and establish the Voice of Single Mothers Foundation, I am thrilled, overtly filled with emotions and gratitude to God for the grace of this beautiful yet tasking mantle. Growing up with my mum after the death of my father, gave me a firsthand account of the struggles and isolation that comes with single motherhood.
Everyday, Millions of single mothers around the world face similar challenges, often with limited or no support and resources, yet they are isolated and victimized, society traumatizes them with blames and stigmatization further making them to feel withdrawn and unmotivated.
The travails of my mother sparked a realization, it began a burning passion within me to create a safe haven where single mothers will find solace, empowerment, and hope. And thus, the Voice of Single Mothers Foundation was born.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to amplify the voices of single mothers, providing them with the tools, resources, and community needed to thrive.
Through our programs – Education and Personal Development, Economic Empowerment, Health and Wellness, and Advocacy – we will endeavor to break the cycle of poverty, stigma, and inequality.
I believe in the resilience and strength of single mothers and women at large. I believe that together, we can create a world where they are valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
